Do peachfaced lovebirds mate inside their nest boxes?

My current couple does - they like privacy :D

The previous ones didn't mind doing it in public.

Yeah that's hilarious!! Once I opened a nest box, and I saw Juju on the back of Didi, Didi was sitting on the eggs already, but still she had her tail upwards, although she didnt bother to open the wings, no balance needed :D She is sooo lazy :D

Obviously it worked - they have a baby now :D. And except of that time, I have never ever seen them mate - although I definitely heard them inside the nest box.

Thank you for the info!

Oh wow. That's really cute! I really thought of them to be "civilized" that's why I had the idea that they were mating inside their nest boxes.

My pair were actually trying to mate outside, but Bimbi keeps on sliding off Bambi's back! Then they went inside their nest box to continue their thing. I hope they were successful though. :D

Thanks again!

Yeah it's quite a mastery to balance on a perch with another bird on top :D my previous couple managed that without any problems in the end
