How to get my little girl to discover the joy of bathing? I've offered her a covered bird bath many times. ..just left it in her cage. Put a bowl on the counter whole she's out and I try to ease her in. Also have shown her running water. Wants nothing to do with any of it

Try spraying them with a spray bottle! My birds absolutely love it :) Just make sure the water is clean fresh water and the bottle hasn't been used to spray soap/chemicals

Shower spraying usually gets Max going. If he's not interested, he hides. I also splash my fingers in the water bowl and then he comes over and dives right in :)

Try setting the spray to a fine mist and spray over her head, letting it gently fall like rain. She may like it.

Guess you are going to have to let her decide when she wants a bath!!! She certainly knows what she doesn't want! :lol Give her time. I'm betting her favorite place to bathe will be her water cup. If hers has a cover, remove it and see what happens.....

Parrots are all different and what one likes, another one may absolutely hate! It takes time to get to know them and for them to get to know you. I have a female African Grey who has lived with me since 1991 and she still hates to be touched! She loves to interact and will take food from my hands but that's her limit. It took about 15 years for her to decide she liked spray baths. Before that, the spray bottle was absolutely EVIL!

Ditto is getting more modest in his old age. He used to jump right into his water dish when he wanted a bath and it didn't matter who was watching. Now I have only seen him take a bath once in the last 6 months and that was last weekend. I know he does it, he just does it during the day when I'm not home or dives in when I'm out of the room.

I know he does it, I just don't see it.

When he was younger it was a guarantee he'd take a bath on sunday morning after cage cleaning time.

The last several months Max chooses to take his bath during our dinner time..lol. He'll jump on the rim of my water glass and start fluffing up to take a bath in my glass. So, of course, I bring his bath bowl and he jumps right in. By the time he's done, my dinner plate and food is soaked
