Breathing heavy

I just ran some water over my bird, trying to entice her to barbe. After I was done she was breathing heavy and I worried that I traumatized her. But now, 40 minutes later she's still breathing rapidly. Is this just what what they do to warm up or something?

I realize some time has passed since the incident. Did the breathing slow down? I could be just a reaction to the situation.

She reacted to what she viewed as a stressful situation. Some lovebirds just don't like to bathe......
