So I've brought home this sweet little bird about a week and a half ago, so I'm still trying to learn all the differences in body language and their individual mannerisms.
I let him be for the first couple of days and for the most part he was pretty quiet and still, though alert. It looked like he was investigating his surroundings. After just a couple days of being home he was getting restless, running back and forth. So I opened the cage, and he gladly came out. Though he still ran from hands a little bit.
Anyways,
His feathers are floofed a lot and he also grinds his beak a lot (Which I understand is a content sound). Even when happy, is it usual for them for be floofed that often?
He seemed very sleepy today, which I assume may have been from not putting him to bed soon enough when I had to get up relatively early in the morning. Again, he was floofed and closing his eyes. No heavy beathing.
When I came home today from work he immediately zipped to the front of the cage and gladly hopped out when I opened the door and hopped onto me and started flalling asleep pretty quickly.

Here he is being all floof.
Shortly after, he came to my hand and gently nibbled my fingers until I gave him head scrachies.
And again, started falling asleep.

When I went to put him back in the cage, he perked back up and seemed like he really didn't want to be put down.
Do I have an affectionate sleepy bird, or a sick bird?
