Opie has decided toys can be fun. She's been watching Otis tear up piñata's but never messed with them. Now she's discovered that it's fun to destroy them too. She's not using the stuff for nesting, just chews it up and drops it to the floor. (so far anyway).

Don't worry, fingers are still evil and must be attacked.

Otis is stashing carrots in the coconut shell too.

They've been eating nutriberries again too. today I refreshed the bowl and they wasted almost nothing! Previously there would have been a lot of chewed up crumbs. This bowl they ate completely.

Wish mine would do that!! They love any kind of food but there's also more waste than I like to see. Yes. I seed save but not what lands on the bottom of the cages. Chickens get what hits cage bottoms. And, yes! I have well fed chickens!!! They love anything that's edible!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

well I'm not counting on them keeping it up. but it's nice while it lasts. Now if I could just get otis to stop throwing the veggie bowl to the floor.

Good luck on keeping the veggie bowl off the floor!!! I haven't found a way to do that short of the lock tight dishes that click into place but those aren't stainless steel!

Well I did get a SS dish that has a hoop that bolts to the cage for their second seed bowl. Now I may need to order a few more. I came home today and the water dish (same as the veggie dish) a 10 ounce ss bowl filled with water when I left was hanging by only one hook. Somebody's been working out! :omg:

I always buy stainless steel cups that bolt on!! I've had the hooked ones land on the bottoms of cages and I'm guessing it took both of them to do it! :lol

I know otis can throw the veggie bowl to the floor by himself but the water dish is much heavier.

Yeah, don't let his size fool you. I think he's got weighs hidden in the cage somewhere.

Well I just watched Otis unhook one side of the water dish by himself! :omg::omg::omg: Opie was on the other side of the cage.

My sweet Buddy loved to unhook the canary's food and water dished every day. From the outside of the canary's cage. I broke her of it by coating the hooks with tobasco sauce. Took two attempts to cure her forever. Apparently she didn't like Tobasco.
