Here Comes the Rain!!!

During the winter, Florida rarely gets thunder storms so we've not had one since probably the end of November. Well, we had one come through from the Gulf this morning and I was wakened by squawking birds at 5:00 a.m!!! Evil lightening and rain falling on the pan roof of my Florida room was something they had to let me know about! No sleeping through that....... Our rainy season starts late May so they will get used to it all over again! :lol

Thunderstorms don't bother my three. They seem to like them. It means bath time. Of course the roof it 2 floors over head and shingle covered wood so they don't hear that. We had one last week and yep, bathtime.

Ditto used to go to the window to watch.

You can barely hear the rain anywhere else in the house but let it land on a metal pan roof and the sound amplification is unbelievable!!! Before I moved, my larger birds were inside the house, under a normal roof. They love my Florida room but there are downsides, too!
