Hi Everyone,

Its been a really long time since I've been on here. We moved a year ago and got out of the apt we were in and bought a house 😁. It was quite and adjustment for Lacey and Gizmo but I think they are feeling a lot more comfortable now. The have settled in to our routine now and left me know if I'm behind on mealtime of bedtime lol.

I had taken advantage of all this "home time" and started raising seahorse babies. They definitely keep me busy and on my toes. Their survival depends on me so they keep me motivated when I'm getting overly stressed.

Lacey is 6 1/2 years old now. She ihas become another part of my body lol. She's attached somewhere on me when she's out of her cage. Has become very interested i my seahorse tank and the moving water. I have to watch her like a hawk. I had wrist surgery a year ago also, I thought the big cast would scare her, nope as long as it wasn't her favorite sitting hand (my left) she didn't give it a second thought lol.

Seahorses are absolutely fascinating and I can see where they would relieve stress. I had a few that we caught in the Gulf of Mexico and it was amazing to watch them!

Lovebirds will certainly keep you on your toes, too! When I had fish tanks, they saw them as huge water dishes that needed to be used for bathing! I had to make sure my tanks were covered at all times!

I also moved about 2 years ago and it took forever for my parrots to settle in. My lovebirds just have a different setup in their own room, which they love. Now my larger parrots are living in my Florida room (enclosed, climatized lanai) and they were skiddish for almost a year. Parrots are creatures of habit and change means that they have to feel safe again.

thats exactly what she sees!, a 60 gallon huge bathtub with running water. The little buggar follows me to the kitchen and bathroom because she hears running water but she will not go in lol. The only way she takes a bath is in a small fruit cup :shrug:

:rofl::rofl::rofl:Any kind of running water is fair game for Dao, my Military Macaw!! Doesn't matter where the running water is, it's fair game. It's comical to see him try to bathe in my kitchen sink when he can manage to get there! He can get his head under the faucet while the tail is sticking up and out on the opposite side..... Too much bird and not enough bathing area!
