My lovebird is pushing his beak into the back of my ear! I'm surprised he's not biting it bec he's been nipping hands and ears, affectionately I'm sure b ut still not what we want to see happen.
What does the pushing mean?

I think the pressure just feels good on their beaks. Sammy does that to my cheeks just after he has a bath. I'm pretty sure I'm just a towel of sorts, but it makes me feel special. :)

No idea but your lucky. Sounds to me like doing it cause he likes you. mayeb he is trying to tell you "Hey momma go that way"I have to hide my ears or I get a birdie earring..lol. I always try and remember to remove hair bands before bird room.

It could be worse. Ditt tries to crawl up my nose.

My Milo does this, too. (The pushing, not the crawling up the nose.) He pushes on my cheek and sometimes the couch. He does it much more consistently after he's had a bath and he's drying off.

Hmmm,
Bela does this to get your attention. If you aren't paying enough attention to him, he will kinda beak butt ya :lol

Ditto will put his beak agains the tip of my nose and make kissey noises. If that doesn't work a scream in my ear will.

Daisy does the beak butt against my cheek when I'm feeding her corn & peas. I take as she "wants more, NOW". I guess I'm too slow handing her one piece at a time. Of course, whatever Daisy does, Piper does. So now s/he's started doing this too.
