Blu being the only fid of two firefighters is showing quite an obsession with the fire sprinklers in the appartement, to my own despair. :omg:
Her flight feathers are comming out nicely and she is discovering that she can now fligh up, not only down.
She stands on the bed with me, aiming at the fire sprinkler and fly for it. The problem is she is now reaching them. My husband keeps telling me they are not THAT sensitive. With my luck, they will be defective and be THAT sensitive.
I can forecast a feather trim in Blu's near future. The only think is I'd like for her to get some exercise first. Get those wings muscles working, ya know! Hopefully she will develop a fixatation for something else in the mean time. Until then I keep the umbrella and rubber boots close by. :lol

Oh my. I will say this my old place had them and they are not sensitive. Atleast those were not. Cause I had a fire catch under one and it did not go off for awhile..lol That is why Steph never cooks Thanksgiving.

Depends on how the sprinklers are made. Most are heat-activated, and something inside the sprinkler melts when the temperature gets high enough, and it releases the water. Your lovie *probably* couldn't get it going, but you don't want her to damage the sprinkler either, for your own safety.

:lol It's lead that is in the sprinkler and yes, it has to melt to activate it. My heart jumps everytime Blu is trying to hand on them. THe last thing I need is for her to start chewing it. Hitting the sprinklers can get them started too. I don't know how much force you would need to apply to get it started though. And I don't want to find out
