Quick question: I have both a cuttlebone and a little cup with ground oyster shell available to my birds. How often do I replace the oyster shell? This is assuming they are able to go for any length of time without pooping in the cup.

Change the oyster shell when they can go no longer without pooping in the cup.
Oyster shell doesn't go bad. It can sit in there forever waiting to be pooped upon.
