Hi;

Lovies everywhere seem to breed when the seasons are changing from fall/winter or winter/summer. Animal experts think this coincides with the rainy seasons in Africa; when there's rain, there is food. However, lovies in captivity can and will breed any time of year because the food is always plentiful.
