A lady in California had her avairy broken into. One bird was killed during the robbery. She has asked for people to post and cross post the message. One of the birds is on meds for Aspergillosis that was taken and has breathing problems. Keep a look out for anyone trying to sell the following birds. Also she mentions that she does not feel they were pro's.
2 pair Solomon Electus
2 Green Cheek Amazon
2 Whitefront Amazon
1 Bluefront Amazon

MJ,
That is so sad. I hope she gets them back.
Do you know what part of California she is in? Might help if some of our members are in the same area to keep an ear and eye out.

Lori,
It was emailed to me to cross post (I guess people know I'm quite the chatterbug online) and that was all that was included. I'll do some snooping and see what I can find.
Ok, I just checked anpther board I figured would have the info and here it is directly quoted from the owner in Los Angeles:
Everyone around Los Angeles CA area, please keep an eye out for anyone
trying to sell my babies:
Last night, someone broke into my backyard aviary, stole 7 parrots, and
Killed one. The birds taken were:
a pair of eclectus (Solomon male and possible RS/Sol mix female),
2 mexican red headed amazons (aka greencheek amazons);
2 whitefronted amazons (aka spectacled amazons) and
1 bluefront amazon.
They killed my beautiful Solomon Eclectus girl, Lili, and left her brother
Lani very traumatized.(but thankfully safe!!)
The ekkie pair are semi tame, but sweet and still handleable. The 4 amazons
I raised from babies, they are tame and can say a few words. The bluefront
amazon is not 100% healthy - she had aspergillosis, still has breathing
difficulties, and may need meds. I am afraid that in the wrong hands, she
will end up dead.
I am guessing these thieves are not pro's, they only took the "easy to get"
birds, and were unable to remove my biting bluefront male and his lady (good
boy, Chico!), or my wild vos eclectus pair, or Lani.
Please, crosspost, get the word out to pet store owners, sellers, breeders.
If anyone has any suggestions, or knows any "shady" shops or sellers
(especialy downtown or east LA areas), please let me know. I have called
every bird store I could find in the LA area, but every little bit helps. If
you can print or post a few flyers, I can email you a graphic or send copies
by mail. I am absolutely heartbroken, these are my babies...
Thanks

I do hope she gets them back. I hope the birds defend (biting, noisy, etc...) themselves and give these people a really hard time >: I sent this to my brother to post on his message board too. He has a B&G and had him micro-chipped back in the summer. I think it was the best decision he made concerning Bosco. :)

MJ,
I would be inclined to think that is why Lili was killed. I sure hope she got some flesh. Come to think of it, wonder if she did if they could get DNA from it?? I don't know if the state would spend the money for a bird death to catch a killer, but it's a thought.
I did email Anna. I know there is not much I can do, but wanted to let her know that there are many praying for her, and her birds return.
Oh, and the "B" word is way too nice for what these people did. They deserve the whole vocabulary>:
