Regarding Shipping?

If birds are shipped by plane, how does the plane fumes not hurt them? They always bother me when I fly and I'm inside the plane. Where do birds ride?

My husband is a pilot. They are held in the cargo bay. It is temperature regulated usually between 65 and 75 degrees. They are quite safe, with no fumes, just a little bit of noise!
