Weather permitting, outside will work fine. If they are using chemicals with fumes, you will also want to air out the house for a couple of hours before bringing Indy back inside. I would ask them to not use chemicals in your room if possible, so that Indy won't be exposed to them overly much when you bring him back inside.

If you do take him outside, make sure that all doors are secured, use a clip or tie them. Also make sure the bottom of the cage is secure, so he can not escape.
