SHE IS CONFUSING ME!!!

Ginger has done something really strange yesterday and today and I don't know what to think of it. Yesterday when I got home from work the back of the nest box was off (it slides up). Now I know when I came home for lunch yesterday and checked on the baby (he'll be 4 weeks on Sunday) I put it back in place. I called my kids to see if they peeked in and forgot to put it on but they said they didn't - and today when I got home it was the same thing. So I put the door back in place and started to change into my YES home from work clothes - when I heard something strange and low and behold it's mama bird taking the back of the nest box off!!! So I put it back and before when I went up to give them dinner it was off again? Any ideas anyone - if she wants it off should I leave it off or is she just trying to make me nuts! :omg: And I have been holding the little one a little bit each day (soo... cute!) Mom and Dad fly around the room when I do - they don't seem to mind - sometimes they even come and just sit on my head - I am very....confused. Any input would be appreciated!

Hi Denise,

I would not take it off, it would be too dangerous for the little one. I use a small bungie cord to keep the lid of my nest box closed, so this might be something you can use. Be careful with those bungie cords though. Linda here can testify that they can be extremely dangerous:eek:
