Ditto seems to think so. There's feathers everywhere. He's starting his mid june moult a bit early. When I took the tray out to clean it today there were blueish purple feathers everywhere. So he took a nice warm shower today under the bathtub faucet.

Summer is here!

Well once again Ditto and Trixie are on the same page. Trixie went into his heavy molt about a week ago :omg: :lol

It's amazing how many colors one feather can have.

I looked at one of his yellow wing coverts in the sunlight. At first glance it just looks like a glow in the dark yellow feather. Turn it around so the sun hits it at different angles and suddenly the yellow on the underside turns an almost purple bule colorand the top turns that same blue color and blue green!

I have all four bird molting at the sametime. They love to run over to my hand and make me rub their little heads. I have so many feathers I could make a whole new flock of lovies and not even breed them

Mine started much earlier in May, and they're just now starting to slow down. Though I do like looking at the pretty, larger feathers up close and personal. :)

Since it gets warmer here much earlier, the spring molt is over and I had enough feathers to cover several birds!!!

June 1st signals the start of hurricane season...... :(

June 1st signals the start of hurricane season...... :(I'm not looking forward to that either. We usually get severe weather up here from the hurricanes. Although, right now we could use some rain. The hot weather has just started and I'm already tired of it. Oh well, bout 5 more months to go :(

No molting here yet. But I have my feather bucket ready for when it does. My kids love looking at all the diffrent feathers.
