I've been in Chicago since last Tuesday and had to come up with a place to leave Indy while I was gone. I found a boarder 20 minutes away from my house that seemed to have a good reputation. It was the first place I considered buying a lovie and I might in the future. I pick Indy up today(technically) and if he seems to have done well there, I will consider leaving him there. However, have any of you ever boarded your bird at an aviary and what was teh price for a small bird like a lovie? Mine is quite reasonable: $5 a day.

Kumashe,

The $5.00 per day is an awesome price, especially if they care for your bird as they were reccomended. Sounds like you've found the perfect solution to travel if Indy can't come along. I hope all went well.

I think mine & Janie's vet charges about $7 for Lovebirds and $20 for Macaws. It just depends on the size of the bird.

My vet charges $8 per day per cage. I've boarded birds before and I charge a whopping $3 per day per bird.
