Can anyone tell me about this. Am I supposed to put it in a dish for Billy?

Hey Therese,
I know Laura posted she answered, but for anyone else that follows this thread I just wanted to mention that grit is definitely not needed, and can cause an impacted crop in lovies, along with other health issues. Grit is used for birds that do not shell their seeds, and need the grit to break them down. All hookbills, which lovies are, do shell their seeds so there is no need for it. Shame on them for selling it to you. I'd take it back and get your money back, but it's probably not worth the drive:rolleyes:
