A terrible event in this worlds' history that will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with everyone who was touched by this tragedy.

I can't believe it has already been 5 years. It seems like only yesterday.

I couldn't help thinking about it when I was at Logan airport last night, just an hour before the anniversary. Those poor families; it was such a tragedy and it will never be forgotten. :cry:

We have a friend in New York who is an EMSA responder.
When Oklahoma's Murray building was bombed it was on her birthday. She made the trip to Oklahoma to show her repect and to deal with the trajedy.
Then to experience the event of September 11 and the loss of friends who responded to help others has been difficult for her.
Just her one story, gives us a little perspective.

May those who re-live their experiences today be surrounded by loving arms.
May they remember that our God is bigger, our pride greater, and our resolve strengthened by the sacrifices made that day. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

It's hard not to watch the news reports. I've been sniffling all morning along with my co-workers. I can still remember exactly what I was doing that morning and it runs through my mind. I always heard my parents & grandparents talk about events in their lifetime and what they were doing at the time. Now I understand. Even though I did not know anyone who lost their life that tragic day, I still feel a sense of loss. It's hard not to. May God bless those families & friends who did lose a loved one and may He bless the men & women in our military who continue to give us the freedom we fight so hard to keep. :grouphug1

I was thinking about it today too, It bothers me that at 19 years old, I have already seen such tragedy, there have been others in recent years, katrina and the tsunami come to mind, but 9/11 always seems to be the worst, maybe because it was perpetrated by human beings. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the attacks occured, and that memory and the feelings that go along with it is something I know I will never forget.

At least one good thing came from all of this and that is the way people from all over can band together, to help each other, that is proven today by our thoughts and remembrances 5 years after the fact.
