Ok, I'm convinced that Ditto is waterproof!

He took a really great bath today. He took his usual sunday shower in my hands under the sink faucet. He actually laid down in the pool of water in my hands so that only his head was sticking out and stayed there like that for almost a minute with water running on his head. Then after a few dives headfirst into the pool he flew up to my shoulder. With the exception of having wet nares (and smelling like a wet parrot) he looked almost completely dry.

I think he's waterproofed himself with the same stuff you use on hiking boots. :rofl: He never looks like the pics of wet birdies I see on here.

I think Ditto has Superpowers. Maybe he was abducted by aliens and sent back to earth with the ability to repel water. Or maybe he was bitten by a radio active animal that transferred his powers to Ditto (remember Spiderman...ya never know)! He could have been an escapee from a genetics testing lab where they tried to splice him with a fish, that's why he is waterproof and was obviously trying to swim in your hand...:omg:

I think you better keep a good eye on that lovie...he is obviously special;)

Well then I have two duckie-lovies here, too. Today I hauled the kings cage out onto the screened porch and stuck both birds in it. Well, there's nothing like the sights, smells, and sounds of Outside to get my birds in the mood to take a big old bath. Both birds plopped belly first into the water dish. If it weren't for the water all over the floor, you couldn't tell they'd taken a bath.

All 4 of mine took a bath on Sunday. Daisy looks like Ditto after a bath - no signs. Even Piper took a bath :omg: I usually have to give him one :rolleyes:
