I was wondering if Western Catalpa Trees were Toxic to birds?...
I have one in my yard and there are quite of few branches that would be wonderful perches for my lovie but, I couldnt find anywhere on the net about if they were safe or not?...
Thanks! :D

We have Catalpa trees also. I don't use the branches for my birds because I could not find anything to indicate toxicity. I figure better safe than sorry.
I do use cuttings from my fruit trees for the birds to strip. They really enjoy stripping those branches!

I looked too and only found that it is native to MO. Nothing stating toxic or non-toxic. There are several different names and I looked under all of them in both lists, but nothing

I found out a little bit of information. still nothing saying it is safe for birds but...
I did find out that this plant is a safe tree for cats and livestock. It also is a favorite of the hummingbird. I am still doing some searching....:)
