I'd like to know if there's any other safe way to 'mark' the birds in some way so that I can tell them apart. A little mark on a feather, anything. Baby 1 and George are fledging now and are getting VERY difficult to tell apart, and since I'm going to get them sexed and everything now I'd like to not get them mixed up!

Please share some ideas! The only thing I can think of is maybe marking a feather on them somewhere with a permanent marker real quick. I don't know!

You can't band them with closed bands, but L&M Leg Bands also sells open ones. That might be an option.

If you want, you can mark the feathering. Just be aware that the mark will only be there until the marked feathers are lost during a moult......

Yea, I know it won't be permanent. I just need it until I can get bands OR they go to new homes. :D It wont' hurt them though?
