I'm sat here and have just glanced round at my birdies (I have 2) and they're sat on the top of the cage and Blue is regurgitating for Pink.
This is the first time I've ever seen them do this and we've always assumed Blue was Male and Pink was a girl, I've done a search on this wonderful site and some people say its a sign of mating????
We don't know the sex of them but could it be a sign of affection?

Could be jsut a sign of affection. I would get them DNA sexed to know for sure that way you can know for sure if babies might be in the future.

are there any other reasons why they do this?

Birds will feed each other as a sign of affection or a healthy mate will feed one that is under the "weather" so that the ill bird does not starve. Feeding can eventually lead to mating but it's mostly because they like each other. Pet birds will also try to feed human "mates" as a sign that they like that human.

phew! was worried there we might have babies soon. LOL
No worries about them doing it to me though, they won't come near me! LOL
Could the one going the regurgitating be a male then?

Could be a male or female. Sometimes females bond together and feed each other. I had a mom and daughter(at least i think the baby is a girl) who fed each other. Would be easy if you could tell gender by behavior 100%.lol. But til they lay a egg or a pair lays ones that hatch can never tell with peach-faced.

thanks for all the replies, they're really helpful. Mine are blue and white masked ones. They're gorgeous and I'm learning more about them every day.
