I was wonder what kind of pet all of you have. I have 2 Chihuahuas named Dory and Gabby, 2 cats named Smokey and Sassy , 1 Quaker parrot named Joey, and 2 normal peach-faced lovebirds, Romeo and Juilet.

Just my four lovies. I tried a cat once, but it just didn't work out for me. I think I'll stick with my four only. :)

My three lovebirds and one dog, a sheltie who is 12 1/2. If I get another dog down the road it will be something that is pocket size. :D I've had Chihuahuas and loved them and would also consider a Pom but want nothing over 4 or 5 pounds. A dog that I can stick in a large purse and take with me! :D As far as birds go, I will always have birds and may decide that they will be my only pets. Would love to have a cat again but don't want to work that hard at keeping one separated from my lovies.
I am a slave to Blu and Phoebe, lovebirds, Kio and Yuki, budgies, Max, African Grey and the Queen Danny Cat. My husband is considering a double yellow fronted Amazon who needs a new home but I said NO! No more!

We have a zoo at our house...lol  A peach faced lovebird who we are still thinking of a good name for. A 7 year old cocker spaniel named Chip. We have a 7 year old Mini Lop rabbit named Pebbles. We have a 2 year old albino African Clawed Frog named Henson. We also will be getting some salt water fish too, as we have a 120 gallon aquarium that is just sitting around. :D

Elle,
You may want to think about the Amazon! I've got 2 and they are neat birds! No guesswork as to what they body language means. They are very direct birds.
In addition to my aviary of lovebirds and my other parrots, my daughter has a cat and I just adopted a Welsh Corgi named Sam. I'm currently fostering a Tri-colored Corgi named Millie but she has a potential new home as soon as she has dental work done and her microchip is inserted.
The inn at my house is also closed...... :)

In my house, I just have my Green Cheek Conure, Obie, and Tyler has a small fishtank that currently houses 4 fish and an aquatic frog that I named "Willy."
And plants, we seem to have a lot of plants...

I agree re-consider the Amazon!! I just adopted a Blue Fronted from a neighbor - his name is Paco and he is the sweetest boy. Has a great vocab and loves the little birds (with supervision of course). The best is when I sing "Singin' in the rain" to everyone in the morning and Paco chimes in with his "Happy Birthday" song!!!! Think about it (what's one more) lol.

One lovebird Whisper,3 2/3 human kids, one husband, and one mangy cat. When cat goes there will be no more cats here. I would love a dog but not for a long time if ever. I like little cute dogs and husband like big monster ones..lol. I would like another lovebird but not for a very very long time.

Twenty-two lovebirds (currently have more than that with the summer/early fall hatchings, but the young 'uns in the juvi cage are not staying, and so are not counted), four housecats, three mountain blue-jays (ok, technically they are not pets, but don't tell them that; mama and daddy jay hatched baby jay this summer in our back yard, and every morning and evening all three land on the windowsill of the aviary room after eating at the bird-feeder to talk to the lovies), two Green Cheeked Conures, and one mischevious 20-sumpthin' year old Goffin's Cockatoo.

I just have 1 Dog named Ruben(Border Collie/Shepherd Mix) & Im bringing two Lovebirds & 1 Budgie Home. We also have a cat but, she found her way to us and we tried bringing her inside but, she wouldnt have it so, she stays outside. Ruben was recued from a Very Abusive home as a puppy. So, he is not to fond of alot of ppl but, for some reason has a gentle Love for other animals & he is SO SMART!
I love that you foster Linda...We Fostered a Dog about 1yr ago. Its sad to see them go but, You feel great knowing that they are going to great homes. I hope to do it again sometime. :)

Two GSDs - Otter and Shaina, 2 DSH cats - Bow and Fat Cat, and 2 lovies, Bubble and Squeak. We're getting a rottie girl in the spring, but no more cats! I love my 2, but when they go to the bridge, that's it.
Oh, and 1 husband - Dave.

Oh! Can I claim my brother's Blue & Gold Macaw, Bosco? I'm still sort of babysitting him as I go to my mom's everyother day to feed him and play with him. Funny, now that he's not living with me, he thinks I'm great! He gets REALLY excited when I go to my moms and he stays on me the whole time. He also gives me kisses. What a change! So that would make my four lovebirds and 1 B&G :p

Linda, I thought about it a lot but it would not be reasonable. I already live in an appartement with 5 birds and one cat. I have no more room in the living room for another big cage ( mind you we can always make more room. Who needs a couch anyways?).
The Amazon has a bit of a sad history. He is about 20 years old. When the owner got him 20 years ago its wings were not clipped and he flew in a window. It scared the woman so bad that she put him in his cage and never let him out again. The owner passed away from cancer just recently.
Initially, we were told it was a conure. The home we are looking into at this time would be a good home and the lady would be able to spend a lot more time with him. She has no children and her husband is in the navy so he's gone a lot. She will have time to dedicate to this misunderstood parrot that I feel I don't have right now with 5 birds and a full time job.
If this new home doesn't work out, at that point I know Dan is really interested in having him so me have to rearange the furniture in our home.
Max is beeping. I better go pay attention to him!

I have 7 lovies, Kiko, Touki, Little Chicken, Chubby and Checkers, Mr.Peepers, and a yet to be named lovie. I also have one more coming...and that's all the birdies for me. ;)
Two shepard/lab rescued doggies, Winston and Charlette. ( Charlette ate the corner of my new couch 8 hours after I got it...must be love cuz she is still here).
A 70 and 50 gallon fresh water fish tank and a 30 gallon salt water tank. A 60 gallon salt water will be set up in the next month.
And a roommate named Ron..who is the fish guy.

At my house there lives a West Highland Terrier named MacIntosh, a black kitty named Razamataz, a peach-faced lovebird named Cecelia, a grey pearl mutation cockatiel named Sydney, a lutino cockatiel named Kiwi, two pairs of ringneck doves named Takini, Lindbergh, Cooey, and Courage, and Jill, my special needs ringneck dove. I just adopted 3 finches today who were going to be euthanized because they have disabilities. I think the finches will be just fine with a little love and care.
My motto: there's always room for one more on the Ark!

Kudos to you for taking in these little guys! Finches are neat little birds! I've had a number of them myself! :)

We have a really big pet family!!
16 Lovebirds: Mollie and her 7 babies: Sunshine, Sucre, Ponti, Cutie, Lovie Dovie, Quill, Slasha. Then there are Naranjo, Lemon Zest, Sophia, Wing, Puff, Snuggles, Midnight. AND hubby surprised me with Jazzy..a pretty pied. (Yes, pictures are coming!)
Two dogs: Gracie, an Australian Shepard, and Shep, a white German Sheperd.
Two tuxedo kittys: Mauvis and Murdock.
15 chickens. The roosters have names Jack and Smack.
52 cows, 5 bulls, 27 heifers. Many have names especially Becky Sue who was raised on a bottle when her momma died. It was a little unsettling to see a 600 pound heifer thundering towards you when she spied you holding the milk bottle.:omg:
Then there's Croaker, the tree frog in the elm by the garden. And Toady, the large garden frog who currently resides in the carrot bed.
Yep, there's always room for one more....
