Is it just my lovebird that everytime my hair has a hairband in it the have to bite the hairband in half and then bury themselves in my hair?

Nope, not just your lovebird. Mine like to seek and destroy them as well. It's annoying, but it's also a health hazard, you don't want the little buggers to break off a bit of the rubber elastic and ingest it.

Nope, mine has yet to go right through the band, but he seems to think that the top of the pony tail is a good perch and the bottom part makes a good little hiding place, he loves it when my hair is down. More that once he has suprised one of my housemates by jumping out from his hiding place mid-conversation, he also really likes the front pockets of my hooded sweatshirts (the ones that go right across in front of your stomach, i think they remind him of his happy hut, hoods are good to but not as good as the pocket. I guess I have a "pocket parrot" in every sense of the word

Mine does and nips my ear if hair is up(something learned from her mommy). So I always brush hair out and have it down. She loves to groom my hair just like her mom. I will say it is rather soothing to me.lol.
