I notice when she is perched on my hand or arm and if I descend my arm a little faster than normal, she starts flapping when I do it almost as if to keep up. I know wing flapping is good exercise so should I descend my arm and keep doing it once in awhile to get her exercising?

Wing flapping is very good exercise. Not sure if it's trying to keep up with the decending arm, or more to keep her balance on your arm, but either way, it's good exercise:)

My African Grey has a game where we run accross the room and flaps his wings. He stays attached to my finger the whole time. When moving your arm down quickly, it's easy for any bird to loose their balance. They flap their wings to keep their balance. You certainly can turn in into a game as it is very good exercise for them.

When we initially started that game with Max, one run accross the room and he was out of breath. Now, we can go 5 times and he can keep up easily.
