Just wondering is any other lovies do this. Ever since Kameko was little, but more so now, whenever we clap our hands or snap our fingers or make a similar noise, Kameko stops whatever she is doing and makes a quick little chirp mimicing our clapping noise . Its funny now because she does it so often that you have have duets with her. She will chirp on the beat which is the funniest part. Do any others do this?

That's how I get my lovies to stop making noise. They will all stop chirping...but they have yet to imitate.

I just tested it with Ditto. He was sitting on his concrete perch at the back of his cage under his light chirping. As soon as I started clapping he stopped chirping, ran to his boing at the front of his cage and started doing his happy little "Ditto-dance".

Yeah Kameko's a goof. She stopped doing it for a while but a few weeks ago she started doing it again and does it for any abrupt sound. At first we thought she was sneezing or coughing because it sounds similar but she does it intentionally and only when we make a clapping like noise.
Dave, Ditto sounds like quite the character. Just think, if we got him and Kameko together they could make babies that could make their own music to dance to :D.

I just tried it with my lovie. All he did was stick his head inside his bell.....which he's never done before......it's kinda weird......Anyways, we always whistle back and forth, and he likes to imitate really squeaky sounds, other birds, and train whistles. What a goofball!
