I put vitamin drops in my birds water. I feed a seed/pellet mix that is vitamin fortified. I am about to add birdie bread loaded with veggies. The question is...do I need to give them vitamin drops in their water?

Thanks...you guys are great!

No, you don't need to use vitamins at all, with a balanced diet there is no need, and it certainly sounds that you are embarking on a healthy food variety for your bird. Vitamin drops actually cause more harm than good. They promote bacteria in the water dish and believe it or not, you can actually overdose on vitamins, especially with small birds.
Seed, fresh foods, birdie bread, pellets and treats occasionally (plain popcorn, millet, honey sticks) are all part of a decent diet for birds.

Cut the vitties, but if you feel you need to give them, drizzle it on the birdie bread just before serving, not in the water.
