Hey Everyone,

So I just bought Tango a great little play gym for Christmas and I have a some questions.

I think I should definately clean it before I let him play on it, but I don't want to use bleach, and I don't think wiping it with water is good enough, Would GSE work? for those of you who use it, do you dilute it? by how much? would I just spray it down, let it sit and then wipe it off? How long would I let it sit?

Also, it came with glue to secure it, it just looks like plain white glue, I can see one spot that definately needs to be secured, I think I could glue it so that none of the glue is anywhere that he could get at it, is this safe, is there another way that I could secure it?

One more thing, does anyone have any ideas for birdie safe wrapping, I'd like to let him do some unwrapping, either that or I will put it together and put a bow on it.

I think that's it for now,

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season

Jenna,

The glue if just plain Elmer's should be fine, just wipe it off good after securing whatever needs to be secured.

The GSE will work. I mix about 20 drops to a small spray bottle of water. You can spray it down good, rinse it well, and let is dry. It will kill any bacteria that it may have on it.

As for wrapping, I would just use newspaper, as wrapping paper tends to be glossy, and not good for them. In fact, wrapping it up, and leaving little holes might entice him inside.

I hope Tango enjoys his Christmas present:)

If you are concerned about glue that may be oozing out of the areas where you used it, you can wrap string around the glued areas. That way even if birdie chews on it, he will never get to the glue itself.
