Ok so i read on here somewhere that birds prefer that you leave the tv on or the radio or somthin. i have been doing this ever since i got bebo and i notice his taste in music is "slightly" different than other birds. SO my question that im putting to you is this. WHY DOES MY BIRD LIKE ROCK!!!!!! ok so that was slightly melodramatic but you get the point. Im serious tho. bcus he doesnt seem to enjoy himself when i turn the radio to classical music but enjoys running around his cage and chirping when i turn it to this local station that plays christian rock
(dont ask me why he prefers it over normal rock) maybe he is picking up on the fact I dont like classical music?  altho i do remember this study that came out where scientists put birds in 2 rooms and gave them the same food and cleaned the cages the same but in ome room they played rock and in the other classical and the ones who where in the rock room were sickly while the ones in the classical music room where healthy. so should i put on classical music to ensure bebo's health?!

This is probably what you read:

I'm completely guessing here, but maybe Bebo just senses your energy and likes what you are into. I chose the classical for my birds because I have four and it keeps them less agitated with each other than when I play Jazz or some other form of music. :)

Honestly I have no idea, Tango's never actually heard classical, no offense to anybody, but I can't stand the stuff, it's all they play at work, and if my job doesn't have enough tension at times (vet clinic, can get stressful, but usually worth it) the music does a pretty good job of grating most of the office staff's nerves. My boss says it's uplifting, I would use another word .... but anyway......
I'm very much a country girl, with a little punk, classic rock and some light alternative type stuff (strange, I know, but it works for me) So Tango hears alot of country, I don't really know how Tango feels about it, but he does tend to get pretty loud when Kenny Chesney comes on, don't know if that means he likes him or not, I hope it means he likes him cuz I REALLY like him. I honestly don't know about the whole classical is better than rock thing. I would have to know alot more about that study before taking it seriously, I think the key is to make sure that there is enough background noise so that the bird feels like it's safe, but not so much as to cause it stress and affect his normal activities
