deleting posts

when i click on "new posts" linda's announcement comes up many times. is there a way to delete it now that i have seen it??? i'm sure there is a way to do that, but i havent a clue!! :confused:

I got rid of it by clicking onthe post then going back to "new posts". It took a couple of minutes but the anouncement doesn't show anymore
