Hi,
We have had Houdini since July.
He/She has won over all of our hearts and loves to come out of the cage and sit on our shoulders. He bites my neck though -- and it hurts. What is the appropriate way to discourage this behavior?
Thanks for any help!
Mary :)

Wear a turtleneck sweater! Really, I would try to distract him from your neck. If you like for him to sit there, I would try putting a different toy on your shoulder or some millet. I blow in Jasmine's face when I see her gearing up to begin her agressive behavior. Also, try jibbling your shoulder to keep Houdini off balance when he opens his beak. I don't know if any of this will work, but it's worth a try. Of course, you could rub the "pluck no more" on your neck.

Thank you so much!
I often do wear a turtle neck. My husband has had Houdini on his shoulder for almost an hour now. He has a rugby shirt on and puts the collar up.
But Houdini sits for him peacefully.
I can't see him when he starts to nip me because he is out of my sight!
Thank you for the tips though. I do appreciate it!

Mary :)
