Well....had Chad and Norma dna'd, there both females, **** it,got Norma for chad, so my question. is it possible for them to lead a tranquile lesbian life(with a male in the cage accross the room;chad's dad )or should I risk getting thrown out of the house and sneak in 2 new males??

Some hen/hen relationships work, but it's not the norm. Shy has a flock of hens that all get along and I have a strange foursome at my house of 3 hens and one male (he's a busy and happy boy!). Unless you HAVE to have more lovies, you might leave them as is for now and keep a close eye out for aggressive behaviors.

Feet biting & toe nipping is the norm for lovebirds, but just watch for blood :omg: Then you'll know it's time for a separation. At 12 weeks it's probably not too serious. Watch & listen for fighting. :2cents:

Chris, I think you're screwed!

Yep, I can see you with 2 more lovies in your future and let me say this: pay to have them DNA'd before you buy 'em next time! ;) I told the breeder that I bought from that I wanted two (males for me) and would pay to have the two she had DNA'd. She did and one was a hen but she only charged me a one time charge of $25 and kept my name and number to call me when she had two males. I happened to talk her today and asked her why she only charged me to DNA one (and only one time) and she said that it made her life easier to have all of them DNA'd ahead of time cause most of her customers are looking for a specific gender so she charges more for a DNA'd bird and that she didn't expect that I should have had to pay every time (till I got two boys). Pretty nice of her, I think. I figure that if the bird is already going to cost you between $50 and $100, what's another $25 to spend if you really want a specific gender.

I really don't know what one male would do to your mix since I only have boys but I'll bet you they are both gonna want to snuggle with the boy before too long! :D Good luck, buddy! :rotfl:
