OMG! :omg: And we think one Lovebird is loud! :lol I can understand why he kept them after being told by the other shelter that only 5 could come. It's really a shame. Glad to hear they are being adopted out.

I like how the shelter in Seattle is asking prospective adopters to bring a suitable cage -- GREAT idea.

It's a shame... you find this stories of collecting and hoarding all to often. At least the man cooperated. Hopefully he'll get the help that he needs so he doesn't become a repeat offender.

MJ, two things.....I didn't know you had parakeets OR that you lived in a one bedroom apartment!

Lord, things can get out of hand so easily when you don't have someone breathing down your neck telling you that enough is enough! I am sure I'd have 10 birds or more if my hubby would give me the slightest nod. :D

It really is a shame and I do feel sorry for these people that get caught up in hoarding. Not good for the humans or the poor animals/birds.

Janie, I had a sneaking suspision you'd chime in here. :lol ;)

I have A LOT of birds, but I also have a house, not a a one bedroom apartment. Yes, my house is loud, but everyone is taken care of.
It's sad for these poor little guys, but hopefully, they'll go to good homes where they'll have space and proper care.
