My lovie has started doing her "business" in her water dish :x . Any ideas how to stop this before it becomes a habit?

Move the water dish to a different location. Out of all of my lovebirds, at least 1/3 poo in their water at least once a day. That's why their water is changed as often as possible.
If she's sitting above the water dish on another perch or toy when eliminating; you can always move the location of that.

You could also get her to drink from one of those hampster roller-ball bottle things. Put both that and the regular dish in the cage until she figures out how to use the bottle, and then wean her off the water dish.
My lovie drinks from the bottle exclusively, and it's a lot less to maintain. You just have to check regularly and make sure the water's coming out properly.

I do what MJ suggested, put the water dish up and away from other perches, toys, etc.
I wouldn't make the water dish THE highest thing in the cage, though, because then they'll perch on it and most definitely poop in there as they're hanging out. I made that mistake already. 8o

Thank you for your suggestions! She usually just sits on the edge and poops in it so I'll try moving it to a different location.
