I can't believe it, as it was Mothers Day and I expected the kids and grandkids over we shut Junior and Sam in the laundry. They are not usually confined to a cage so we as usual we told the family not to go into the laundry because of the birds.
We have two WC's one in the laundry and one in the bathroom.
When all had gone home we went to get Sam and Junior, but no Junior to be found. She had chewed a hole in a small flyscreen section about an inch wide at the top of the window. We have searched for hours and now it is dark. I can't stop crying as i don't know what will happen to her tonight.
I should have known better, they should be kept in a cage. I will put a notice in all the papers, she is easy to identify because of her bald head.
Please pray that she will be safe.

I'm so sorry Kali :( . At night birds usually get very, very quiet, but hopefully tomorrow she'll answer your calls. If she and Sam are bonded you could try putting Sam out in a cage for a while. Maybe Junior will respond to her calls.

I'll keep my fingers crossed Junior will be returned safe and sound to you.

(((Kali and Junior))) I am so sorry to hear Junior is missing! I agree that you should put Sam in a cage in a place where Junior can hear her calls. Maybe place a food dish outside close to where she escaped. I have read here that lovebirds do not see well in the dark, so maybe looking at first light will find her close to home.

I will be thinking of you and hoping Junior finds her way home. Please keep us updated.

OH MY! Prayers that little Junior will return soon. Hopefully Sam will help get her attention or at least keep her nearby until she's found. Is there any kind of noises that she's familiar with like from a toy, music, other pets along with Sam? OH gosh...I'm so sorry to hear this, please hang in there......Goofy and Micheal

I'm really sorry for what happened. I hope you find Junior. You can place a cage outside with food and water and take Sam out in another cage, weather permits, of course. Sam's calls could attrack Junior back.
Don't give up. Escaped artists have found their way home even after spending a few days outside.

I will pray that Junior will be found. It has happened before, and I will pray it happens for Junior. Keep a positive attitude, post in the paper, post flyers around your area, and tell your neighbors to keep an eye out, and give them your number so they can reach you if they see him.

Miracles happen. My little girl got away the other day and I had given her up for lost, but she found her way back with the help of a kind person. God answers prayer.

Has anyone heard anything? I know sometimes there may be phone call updates. I have been thinking about Junior and Kali for the last couple of days. My thought are still with them.

Thanks for all your prayers and concern. Sadly I haven't had any news of my girl. I posted her photo at all the local shops offering a reward. Also put lost advert in all local newspapers. I put Sam out in the yard on Monday and Tuesday hoping he would attract her. I have an add in the regional paper so I am still hoping someone found her, but I can't get the neighbourhood cats out of my mind.

Hi Kali,
I wouldn't give up hope yet. Birds have been known to be gone months and then suddenly turn up seemingly out of nowhere! Just recently, a macaw that had been missing for almost 9 months finally found it's way back home.
