Lovebird lost it's mate

I am fostering a lovebird that just lost it's mate last week. I was wondering if there is a way that I can help it cope.

It's very normal (and healthy) for birds to mourn the loss of a mate. While it's sad to watch, they have to grieve in order to come to terms with the change in their lives. The best thing you can do is give this lovebird extra attention to make up for the mate not being there anymore.
