hi i have 2 babys that are 5 weeks old . i have handled them since they were 8 days old .one of them is lovely but the other has just turned nastey .she opens her mouth and thrusts herself at me she was hanging off of my finger it was so hard .this has only been hapening for about 2 days .what can i do to cure this problem as it is not what i want to see at such a young age please help:confused:

Even baby lovebirds as young as 5 weeks old will defend their containers and this is what your one youngster is doing. Personally, I just pick them up anyway and just try to avoid the bite as best I can. Babies go through a nippy stage and it starts quite young!

thanks i was starting to worry but she does this even when she is out though.Should i just keep on handeling her and ignore the bites ,would she get fed up of bitting of will it just get worse.

Once she realizes that the bites aren't having the desired effect, she'll most probably stop it.
