Ok, i have posted some more piccys of My little Baldilocks, (have grown to love this alien alot as the poor thing went through so much from mum.)
Anyway, i caught the little devil out of the box this morning bless. I wont be updating for awhile now, as i really want to start spending more time handling him/her.

Linda, i managed to take some photos of tail feathers both from Baldilocks and Miss Lemon, If they are different colours from parents, what species would baldilocks be, i expected Baldilocks to look like his/hers siblings.
If so, why the sudden throw back? be interesting to know.

Hope you enjoy the photos, soon as all the feathers are right through, i post more. but not for awhile yet.
love cassy.
Ooops forgot to say, i have now put nest box inside of cage, so baldilocks cant hurt , if she/he should fall.

Awwww, she's a cute one. Looks like the rump feathers are just coming in after mum's haircut, and they look like the standard color for no dark factors to me, but once they come in further, it will be easier to tell.

Being split for Cinnamon, Poirot may or may not pass the gene on in every clutch. It's a 50% chance in each clutch. It's also a 50% chance that any males produced, will be split for cinnamon too.

Is it my eyes or does Baldilocks look a little orangey around the brow/bib area? Perhaps Poirot is also spilt for OF??

Yup,just as i was taking photo, baldilocks decided to get to close to the camera, there is orange comming through the stubble of the feathers.

(Sorry Ittyandrita, this little Bird is not for sale, she/he is going to be a brother/sister for the others. wont part with chick for no-one. )

i think we're all a little in love with miss baldilocks now! don't blame you for not wanting to part with her. she's got spunk that one - you can just tell by looking at her. i know you won't have too much time to update, but just one or two pics - please - so we can see how she looks when all her feathers grow in. :)
