I was wondering if anyone of you have ever watch the Africam live cam. I discovered it a few days ago and am absolutely fascinated by it. You can watch wild animals watering at a pond.

Unfortunaltely no lovebirds but it's just amazing what you can see. I think my favorites so far has been the group of zebra I saw near the water. There is sound as well and my birds go crazy over the little birdies they hear coming out of my speakers.

If you are interested in viewing it you can find it at http://www.africam.com click on the link on the left side that says Nkorho Stream. It's night time right now but they have a night camera on so yo can see see "things"!

Oh, everyone is seeing something but me!! I am watching on and off. I did hear something next to the camera either eating or scattering among the leaves.

I'll tell you something funny, I watched this webcam a little while before I left work hoping to see some wildlife. I opened the backdoor to the clinic and saw a puppy in the parking lot, looking closer, I saw it was a coyote puppy!!! Who needs Africa when we got our own wild guys in our own back yards!!! lol

I've had the cam on since about 9:30 am and there are Antelope grazing in an open field to the left of the camera. There's also some buildings, but I don't know if this is a nature reserve. Someone adjusts the camera every once in a while so you can see the surroundings. When the Antelope came up to the pond, the camera moved with them so you could see. It's really neat. Thanks Elle! Now I'm hooked :D

My understanding is that the pond is on a reserve. there is also a vet school not too far from there. And yes, there is someone manning the camera. :) Always happy to get someone else hooked!

I love this website! I have it up at work all day and periodically check in every now and then! Today, I saw a car and people in the background! I've seen giraffes, antelopes, warthogs, wildebeests, monkeys, and ducks, this is a really neat site! Thanks for the info!!!

I CAN'T STOP WATCHING!!!!!! I even got up early the other morning to turn it on while it was daylight there.

Sheri, The waterhole is on a nature reserve and behind the tree is a lodge where they man the camera. In the forum, there are posting showing you pictures of the lodge, etc... Isn't it great?!!

I figured it was some kind of reserve especially seeing as there aren't any predators around! I haven't checked out the site, I've just gone straight to the camera. It is really neat to see these animals in their own elements and not behind cages!

If you don't see me on this board, you'll know where I am :D The best so far have been the Zebras. They have a few colts and they are sooooo adorable. There's been a lot of animals today. In the forum, they have sightings information and pictures too. It's really neat. Just wish there was one for our lovebirds in their natural environment. Maybe someday... :)

Was anyone watching the africam yesterday(Wed) morning? There were more animals on there at one time than I have ever seen!!! They had a bunch of monkeys with babies, zebras, gazelle, widebeest, boars, rhinos....seems like everyone was out and about yesterday!!!
