I was just wondering if anyone had a pic of what an Adult(and juvenile) yellow faced lovebird might look like? My baby bird is def. looking like he/she's going to have a yellow face and was kind of curious. I can't seem to find too much info online, besides it happens, and seems to be a newer mutation, and I haven't been able to find a picture of one anywhere....

Thanks,

Jen

Hi Jen,
I've got a yellow face blue male lovie and the facial mask is quite literally yellow! In juveniles, I'm not sure that you can see any indications of the adult coloring. Mine was already an adult when I got him.

The Yellowface mutation is only seen in blue series lovebirds. In green series, the mutation is known as Orangeface. My Yellowface is not tame so I don't know if I will be able to get him to cooperate for a photo or not but I'll try!
