So I am REALLY going away!! :)

My boyfriend and myself are flying out east to Ontario for my birthday to spend it with my family and old friends. This is happening in October so I have PLENTY of time to prepare for it. We are going for about 10 days and I can't decide on whether or not to leave him at home with my boyfriend's sister (who loves animals) or to pay the 2$ a day and have him bird sat at a place which boards birds and sells them. (Which I am leaning towards)


I wish I knew people on Vancouver Island here in BC who could look after him ^^ Then I know he'd be in good hands!

There's no way at all I can take him with me, the 5 hour flight would be too stressful under the plane (he cant come on as a carryon either :( or I would) and plus my mum has 3 cats bwahahaha

Well, I mean, I could fly out and house/birdie sit for you ;)

If you can trust your BF's sister, I'd say leave Kirby w/ her. The boarding is certainly an attractive option (that price is REALLY good, too) but there is always the worry of Kirby being exposed to a sick bird.

Well an update:

I took him to get his wings clipped at the place which I would board him at, and if you read my "Kirby Depression" Post, we all know how that ended.

So when I leave in October, I will be leaving him here with Chris's (bf) sister. I can't leave him in a strange place... I would be worrying about him constantly.. And at least he's at home, he knows the people he's around and I can call them up and ask how he's doing
