A few days ago I purchased a Black masked Lovebird at a local pet store. It is a male and approximately half a year old. He has had a previous owner before that didn't want him so they left him at the pet store steps in a cardboard box, a month later I got him. We have been spending as much time as possible with him, probably 5-6 hours each day! Since we got him, he has been aggressive and we have to use a glove in order to pet and handle him. He also doesn't come out of his cage when we would like to handle him. When using the gloves he usually won't try to bite, but if you use your finger his mouth is wide open trying to bite me, and it is quite painful. Any tips or suggestions on how to tame him would be appreciated. Thanks! :)
