Good news...Hika,has gotta closer to me..when i told my uncle that Hika has dirty his head..which is quite black...i was told to use the sprayer, and it seem like Hika doesn't LIKE BATH,everytime after i spray at him,he will get very scared of me,even after the next time..and i can';t seem to have his head clean...so..i have to spray it everyday...and the more i spray..the more he dislike me.......i even try to put a small dish inside his cage...but he seem doesn't take bath...
And secondly..he's been eating alot and pooing alot too..and he doesn't drink since i brought him...

My birds would never drink in front of me. As for the washing part I have a idea. Get a large leaf of lettuce and wash it well. Make sure it is damp after-wards and either attach it to side of cage or maybe a small dish with it. Some birds will wash that way.

If your bird doesn't like to be sprayed, don't do it! I tried that with my first lovie because he never really took a bath (just dunked his head in his water dish sometimes) and it horrified him so I never did it again. My younger two love to bathe in bowl, salad size, and now my older lovie will follow their lead and bathe right along with them. Some birds love a bath and will take one every day while others won't. You mention that his head is dirty....what is he getting into that is making his head dirty?
My birds don't drink nearly as often as they eat but it is important to be sure they are drinking so just keep watching.
Oh, I just thought of something that sparked my three's interest in bathing in a bowl.....splash your fingers in it! When my lovies hear that sound, they can't resist! :D
How long have you been trying the bowl of water in her cage? if not long just give it time she may come around and use it.

You'd be surprised at how much Hika is drinking when you're not looking ;)
I've not actually caught Beetle during his bath but I have walked by his cage after I've showered, only to see him drenched from beak to tail. I don't know if the sound of the shower makes him want to bathe or what... I've also heard that birds will bathe during thunderstorms or when you're vacuuming.
I agree with Janie: some birds are really terrified at being sprayed. Just be sure to offer plenty of water (you can always offer an additional water bowl or two) and definitely consider Steph's advice :) Lots of birds like to "bathe" by swishing around wet lettuce or herb leaves. It must feel like being in a tree during a rainshower!
