So Estrella has taken to wanting to be the center of mommy's attention 24/7. Anytime I am on the phone he starts crazy antics, like flying back and forth from his cage to the couch (repeatedly) or he slowly climbs up my shoulder, gets right up in my ear and gives me the highest pitched "chirp" possible (so high pitched, my ears are ringing afterward)
But as soon as I hang up the phone, not another pip comes out of his beak!
This morning he has decided that if I am on the computer, I am not paying attention, and must chirp incessantly until I stop typing....
Just wondering if anyone else's birdies pull such antics for attention?
~and by the way, mommy pays attention to him at least 6hrs a day non-stop while he is out flying around!

Don't you understand, Christian......Estrella is getting you prepared for motherhood! :rotfl Mothers are not allowed to talk on the phone or use the computer! :D I promise you that real kids (and husbands) are worse about wanting all of your attention.
Yes, I do have one (Oliver) that is like Estrella but giving him two buddies really has freed up my time! ;)

Haha! We were talking the other day (Jason and I) and I said we couldn't have kids or other pets as long as Estrella is alive:rotfl Only because he needs all of momma's attention!
Haha, Jason had enough audacity to say that he wanted an african grey or a macaw in the future! I told him that he can't even get Estrella to bond to him so he should start small! That and momma does ALL of the cleanup! I couldn't imagine cleaning up poo's from a larger parrot!

Haha! yes Jason is already a bit jealous of the baby...especially since the other day I said "I love you" and was so talking to Estrella, and Jason answered me thinking that I was talking to him...what can I say that little man has me wrapped around his foot...I am totally smitten :D

The other night, hubby was going to bed before me. I was passing through the bedroom when I heard, "goodnight Maggie, I love you baby." (Maggie is THE DOG.) I said, "AHEM!" He said, "Oh yeah, I love you too."

Other girls get flowers or taken out to dinner by their boyfriends when he gets his monthly pay, mine buys toys for Ammy. He also asks to talk to Evie on the phone when i think he's calling to talk to me... and they have their weird little screeching convos....:x... but come on now, don't you admit, it makes them more loveable?
