OMG!! Cookie jumped.....

on my back :omg: :omg: :omg:. I was talking on my cell phone while sitting at the computer. I'd never talked on the phone in the room and I saw that he was interested in what I was doing. My back was too him and his cage and next thing I know he jumped on my back. I in no way think he wanted to hurt me but it SCARED me and I got up real quick and he flew back to his cage when I tried to get him on the ladder. I think my reaction scared him as much as he scared me as he went right into his cage and sat on his perch after that.

You are lucky Laura. he is a rescue bird that is very interested in his environment. He seems eager to give you his trust. I think it's jsut a matter of time. I've seen rescue birds that needed a lot of work to get where you are at. Cookie is a very lucky parrot too. :)
